Brumleya Stud on the Essex Suffolk border is home to Irish Draught stallions Suma’s Murphy’s Law and Oscar Wilde and is a breeder of quality pure and part bred Irish Draught horses. Brumleya Stud is owned by Natalie & Chris Smith.
We have been breeding Irish Draught horses since 1999. Our first foal was out of Pride of Killarney, an A.I.D. mare by Blue Henry, who went on to be awarded the Hornby Premium, achieved 2nd place at the GB breed show and was a Penmeril qualifier.
Our aim is to help preserve and promote the Irish Draught horse by breeding performance horses with good conformation and temperament. Currently we have five brood mares, of which two are pure R.I.D and three are Irish Sport Horses.
We have progeny of both stallions for sale and three mares in foal to our stallions for foaling 2011.
We offer first class facilities for visiting mares, with quality grazing in post and railed paddocks. We offer flexible arrangements at reasonable prices, and we are happy to discuss your particular requirements.
