Murphy arrived from Ireland in Spring 2003 and stood in the UK for the first time in 2004. Murphy was broken as a four year old and has hunted regularly in Ireland. He started show jumping in the Spring of 1993 winning points and placed second in the Winter League.
His career was temporarily interrupted when he broke his near hind leg in December 1993. By the next Autumn he was pronounced 100% sound and has had no further problems. He was subsequently registered with the S.J.A.I. and as well as his competitive and hunting career he has sired more than 78 registered foals.
Since arriving in the UK Murphy has carried on hunting and has also successfully competed in cross country.
Murphy hacks out and travels with all of his mares, always behaving impeccably. He is a true professional - quite happy to change roles from stallion to competition horse in a matter of hours!
